IRAN & THE IRGC

North Vancouver–Capilano is home to one of Canada's most vibrant and engaged Persian communities. These are Stephen's neighbours, his children's classmates, business owners on the North Shore, and families who have built their lives here. They have waited long enough for a member of Parliament who shows up, not just when it's convenient, but when it matters.

Stephen’s Commitments:

As MP, Stephen will push to:

  1. Keep the Tehran embassy closed – Stephen Harper closed Canada's embassy in Tehran in 2012 because of what the regime is. Nothing about that regime has changed.

  2. Deport IRGC operatives – The IRGC terrorist listing must be maintained and enforced. He will demand stronger tools to identify and remove regime-linked operatives and real consequences for those who target members of the Persian community on Canadian soil.

  3. Support the people of Iran – The 2025–2026 Iranian protests represent the largest uprising in Iran since the 1979 revolution. Stephen stands with the people of Iran in their fight for freedom.
